Happy First Halloween, Lydia
Lydia celebrated her first Halloween with three costumes: 1) a mouse (as seen previously for the daycare party) 2) a skeleton (pink--with glow in the dark bones--for daycare on Friday the 30th) and 3) Yoda (for her main Halloween celebration at Paul and Joy's on the 31st).
Additionally:
Yoda also made an appearance at Mom and Dad's floor in Grace Hall where she met up with the evil Darth Vader!
I sent the Nerd family photo (left) to a friend of mine from work (Jeff), and he said, "If Lydia had a thought bubble, she would be saying, 'I'm going to get Mom and Dad back for this someday."
Although it surely needs no explanation--our friend, Taylor, was Billy Mays.
Our friend Greg made the HILARIOUS graphic of Yoda with Lydia's face.

She is starting to figure out her Jumperoo! Thank you Uncle Tim and Aunt Lorie ;)

Lydia's Idiosyncrasies

Lydia is already developing her own little habits and "ways." She is always grabbing the side of her car seat--whether on the road or not. It reminds of me of grabbing the "OH $#!T" handles of a car. She also likes to sleep on her stomach (her first act of defiance) and stick her tushie up in the air. It's a hoot. Sean is always making people go upstairs and check it out.

Latte Smiles

Since most of my recent posts are of Lydia's clothes, I thought I had better add a couple of her face!Luckily, Grandma B is here this week, so maybe she will help me get my act together, and we can get some camera pics downloaded (it is just so much easier from my phone!).
Lydia smiles all the time, but when we pull out the camera she is like a deer in the headlights. She is kind of smiling up at Grandma B in the one pic on her changing table, and see how happy she is in the other pic in her car seat? We had just gotten back from Starbucks--pumpkin latte and pumpkin loaf. My how we influence our children...
Sorry Grandpa--Lydia Loves Clothes Too

Well I had been hoping that I would have a bunch of wonderful new pictures of Lydia meeting my Alma girls at Baby Garrison's shower to post... life got in the way though--in the form of some pooh-pooh face who hit (and ran) Slayer on Saturday (yes--slain again, in the same spot).
But I do have one fun pic to post--Lydia's first gift from her bff and future Alma roommate, Grace. Is this the most fun or what?!

Lydia's First Tailgate (Preparation)

Lydia has her Notre Dame outfit all ready for the big day tomorrow! She has to have layers because she is starting out early at 8 a.m. with Daddy at Uncle Bear's house.
In other news--she rolled over "the hard way" last night (back to front)! I was upstairs folding laundry, but Sean saw her and was quite excited. She has basically done it loads of times, she just stops herself with her arm because she is sucking her thumb...

The Life of Lydia

These shots pretty much demonstrate Miss L's life right now. She has started to really like sucking her thumb. She loves to lay on her back, kick, and babble (in all pitches). When Grandma LuJean visited last week, she introduced Lydia to her new friend, colorful cow. And I have just started trying out this Bumbo chair thing--she really only lasted long enough in it for this picture.

Firsts

.jpg)

Lydia is quickly going through all sorts of "firsts," and her mother needs to let the world know! Just yesterday she went with me and Grandma LuJean to her first museum exhibit. I am proud to say that it was the Harry Potter Exhibition in Chicago... I am not proud to say that I have yet to get the photo from my camera to my computer to share it. In the meantime, here are some other wonderful firsts: Her first overnight (with Grandma and Grandpa B while Sean and I were at the Don and Kathy's wedding) and her first roll over--captured by Daddy's iPhone!
